At DowneySupportHub.help, our mission is to mentor, guide, and support vulnerable children—especially boys and girls currently in foster care. Many of the youth we serve face daily emotional, social, and financial challenges that most people never see. Through mentorship, positive engagement, and consistent support, we work to help these children build confidence, stability, and hope for their future.
One of the most overlooked yet deeply impactful forms of support is proper clothing. Quality sportswear and casual clothing are often expensive, but they play an important role in how young people see themselves and how they engage with the world around them. When a child has clean, well-fitting, and stylish clothing, it does more than meet a basic need—it gives them dignity, confidence, and a sense of belonging. It helps them feel strong, capable, and proud of who they are.
Many of the children in foster care do not have access to quality clothing, especially sportswear that allows them to participate confidently in school activities, athletics, and social environments. Something as simple as a proper tracksuit, athletic shoes, or quality everyday wear can make a life-changing difference in how a child feels when they walk into a classroom, join a team, or attend a community event.
DowneySupportHub.help is currently seeking donations of new or gently used sportswear and quality casual clothing for boys and girls of all youth sizes. Every contribution—no matter how big or small—helps us continue mentoring vulnerable youth and providing them with the tools they need to grow into strong, confident individuals.
In addition to clothing donations, we welcome any type of support, including sponsorships, partnerships, and community involvement. Your generosity helps us continue our mentorship programs and ensures that no child feels overlooked or unsupported.
